Pet Licenses
All dogs over six months old must be licensed with the City of Missouri Valley. To purchase or renew a license, you must provide proof of current rabies vaccination. Licenses must be renewed every year between January 1st and May 1st cost is $10.00 for altered dogs and $15.00 for unaltered dogs. A late fee of $35.00 shall be charged if in violation.
Recycling
Recycle trailers are available for you to drop off your recyclables. (plastics, glass, and metals). The trailers are located south of East Erie Street on 2nd Street.

United States Post Office
United States Post Office is located at 116 North 5th Street and can be reached by phone at (712) 642-3436. Their hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Tree Dump
- The Tree Dump is for properties located within City Limits only.
- All Trees and vegetation must be from properties within City Limits.
- Only Trees, Grass, Leaves, and Garden Waste. No Appliances, Plastic Bags, Garbage, Concrete, or Lumber.
- Only dump in the designated areas.
- Lock the gate when you leave.
- Keys must be returned before 5 p.m. the same day.
- No keys will be checked out over the weekend without the Street Superintendent’s permission.
Misuse of the rules will take away your privileges. Please help take care of the Missouri Valley Tree Dump.
