Flags at Half Staff
Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds has ordered all flags in Iowa to fly at half-staff in honor of U.S. Air Force Maj. Brad Hovey, who died June 15 when a B-52 crashed during training at Edwards Air Force Base in California.
His remains will be returned to his hometown of Adel on Friday.
The crash was part of a routine test mission shortly after takeoff from Edwards Air Force Base.
Iowans are invited to line the procession route to pay their respects.
Flags are to be flown at half-staff through sunset on Friday, July 17th. Maj. Hovey will be laid to rest at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel.
