City Parks-(Effective June 1, 2020-City Parks are open.  The City of Missouri Valley does NOT sanitize equipment.  Use at your own risk.)

The City has three parks:

City Park/Harrison County Fairgrounds is located at 800 West Huron.
Summit Park is located on Summit Street between North 3rd Street and North 4th Street.
Willow Park is located on Park Avenue and West Superior.

Call the Clerk's Office for availability on renting Groom's Hall and a kitchen facility located in the City Park. Groom's Hall is air conditioned and cost is $75/day. Cost to rent the kitchen is $50/day. The park is also available for daily rent. The fee is $100 with no electricity and $150 with electricity. There is a deposit of $100. Missouri Valley City Parks and Camp Sites are open from April 15th through October 15th.

Camping (Effective Friday, May 22, 2020 COVID-19 Restrictions)

All Park buildings are CLOSED to the public, however, staff is still working normal business hours.

Campgrounds at the City Park, 800 West Huron, are OPEN on a first-come, first-served basis.  Camping is open to only self-contained units.  There will be NO tent camping.  Water and electricity are available in the campground.  Campsites are to be occupied by registered campers only and family-no extra visitors or large groups will be allowed.  Park visitors and campers are expected to maintain social distancing of 6 feet, proper hygiene, and limit groups to no more than 10 people.

 Please adhere to the following rules:

  • Please stay home if you have been sick or traveled in the last two weeks.
  • DO NOT gather in groups of more than 10 and maintain social distancing to the recommended 6 feet. The Park and Police Department will be enforcing this mandate with a verbal warning followed by a citation if needed.
  • City Staff will not be sanitizing equipment. Use of equipment is at your own risk.

Rates are $15/night for electrical spots. There is a dump station and open fires are not allowed. No reservations are accepted, first come, first served on a self registration system.
