DRINKING WATER ADVISORY UPDATE
THE DRINKING WATER BOIL ADVISORY HAS BEEN LIFTED FOR ALL CUSTOMERS EXCEPT THOSE WEST OF I-29 ALONG HWY30 (BUSINESS CORRIDOR)
Due to several additional breaks along the main leading out west to the business corridor (West of I-29), the original boil advisory has been extended at least one additional day (October 1, 2021). At this time no contamination has been confirmed, but the possibility does exist due to the work performed.
We will inform you when tests show no bacteria and you no longer need to boil your water. We anticipate resolving the problem within 24-48 hours for those still under the boil advisory (West of I-29 along Hwy 30).
For more information, please contact Brent Messerschmidt at (402) 689-2693 or City Hall at (712) 642-3502. General guidelines on ways to lessen the risk of infection by microbes are available from the EPA Safe Drinking Water Hotline at (800) 426-4791. The ‘All Clear’ notification will be posted on all residences when it the water tests have shown no pollutants.
Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly.
